Box Office 22 October 2017 – Ali, Mountain, Mersil. Mersil?

Box office this year looks to be substantially down on last year, with this week under the worst 2016 year to date by $1m.

Image: Mersal is a Tamil language film, critical of the government, which has made $406,000 in a week off 25 screens at $11,000/screen.

Ali’s Wedding has officially gone, though it probably grazes on the fringes, adding a bit to its official $1.234m. It has done significantly better than the $1m which producers were suggesting was the happiness point. We would not be surprised if this turns up on Stan.
