Box Office 19 Feb 2018 – is our great screen adventure going bust?

Sweet Country is our dream arthouse film. Did well at festivals, loved by critics. But its cinema performance cruelly reminds us that local audiences would rather get their art from outside.

We were right about Sweet Country. It is now clearly over the million with $1,162,210, after gaining 12 screens to 85 and losing 22% in take, to roll with $1,801/screen in its fourth weekend. Can it do $1.3m before it finishes?

Realistically, this is a good performance.
