Box Office 18 June 2018 – are the tentpoles cannibalising each other?

The way in which the tentpoles are charging out and denting each other raises the possibility of a saturated market. We will wait to see if the US pundits get nervous.

The Incredibles 2 thundered across 570 screens this weekend, to make $10.6m at $18,600/screen. In the US it made $241m, which is a record for an animation film in its first weekend and one of the ten top openers ever.
