Remember how Madman figures that a mill was within reach for Ali’s Wedding? It took $269,000 on its third weekend off 60 screens, after gaining nine, lost 12% of its impetus and is still on $4,475 per screen. The total is now $668,000.

Against Madman’s own criteria, the picture is now doing very well. Expect it to hit the million in the next couple of weeks, propelled a bit by school holidays, and then hang around in selected cinemas to slowly move north. This one really deserves to be on FTA TV. We are looking at you Auntie…
