BAFTAS 2018 – Oscars firm around favourites

Both the Oscar favourites are now pretty non-mainstream, and neither has directors born in the US.

The BAFTAs have confirmed that the Oscar’s list is very, very practical and probably right. Unsurprisingly, there was a demonstration outside, this one about the UK government’s new Domestic Violence and Abuse Bill. Time’s Up argues that similar legislation in the US is allowing police to arrest women who complain about abuse.
