From 526 to one, Writers Guild sifts hopes to find a Shining Light

Australian Writers' Guild supports new series, showcases five more in drive for writer-driven quality.

The Australian Writers Guild has just given $10,000 to Matt Ford as the prize for winning its 2016 Prime Time competition, which was ‘open to writers with an original script or idea for a commercially viable television series or miniseries suitable for prime time viewing.’ The guild says it is the largest batch of entrants for any of its schemes, from which it selected six projects in the final round.
