BAFTAs – some winners for Lion and Hacksaw Ridge

We are reliably informed that If it wasn’t for Luke Davies, Lion would have been called Giraffe.  And history may have been different.Image:​ photographer not credited.

Writers all over Australia felt a strange wash of feral job across their necks early this morning as Luke Davies was given Best Adapted Screenplay at the British Academy of Television Arts for his work on Lion. Only Andrew Knight felt a twinge of regret as his labours on Hacksaw Ridge in the same category were overlooked.
