Are you an Art History or Arts Management student ready to begin applying your skills in a dynamic art market context? Angela Tandori Fine Art is offering an intensive fine art dealer internship over Summer commencing in December 2017.
Angela Tandori Fine Art is a boutique, dynamic commercial art dealership that places an emphasis on providing our clients with highly collectible art, art consultancy and related services. Open to the ongoing fluxes and changes within the art-buying marketplace, ATFA recognises the important role that change and flexibility play in an increasingly competitive industry. Conducting most of our business online, our primary focus is on rethinking the exclusivity of the art marketplace and opening it up to a wide range of collectors, first time and experienced.
You will be handling, cataloging and assisting in the promotion of works of art in a commercial, small business setting with an online-sales focus. This is an opportunity for you to gain practical, real-world art market experience and complement your theoretical training. Those keen to learn what art collectors really hang on their walls are encouraged to apply.
You need to be reliable, able to work independently and ready to develop your arts management skills. Daily tasks include art handling and cataloguing, database and inventory management, and collection writing and marketing. There is an opportunity for you to tailor the internship to your needs: those interested in research based work are encouraged to let us know.
This internship is for approved students in the Melbourne University and RMIT vocational placement programs. It is suited to undergraduates or those looking to be exposed to the sales-focussed side of the Australian arts industry. We welcome vocational placements from other approved institutions.
Days required are flexible. Times are from 10 am - 4 pm. The dealership is located in the Collingwood Arts Precinct, Melbourne.
If this internship sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Just send your cover letter outlining why you would like to do this internship and your resume with relevant qualification to: email@example.com
Please note due to the high submission rate it is difficult to answer every submission. We appreciate the work that goes into your applications, however if you have not heard from us in two weeks you have been unsuccessful. Thank you.
